Wire Earrings

Students in this course will create several pairs of earrings from copper, brass, sterling or gold-filled wire. Make them small and dainty or large and flirty, as wire earrings are light and easy to make and wear. These beautiful dangling earrings are enhanced with silver wire. Designs will be provided or students can create their own. Supply list will be available at registration or outside the office.

Work in Sculpey, a polymer clay that bakes rock hard in the oven. With fun music in the background, give yourself a fun, creative day that lasts all year long. Bring any small size costume jewelry and earrings you never wear, and possibly they can go into your designs. Course fee will cover all materials needed to make your fashion statement. New and returning students are welcome! Returning students will enjoy an open studio to make something new and exciting.

Make your own braided rag rug from old T-Shirts! Learn how to recycle your old clothes into a functional rug or mat. We will be cutting up old clothes to create something new. No skills needed! The instructor will teach you how to create "yarn" from old T-Shirts, braid them and then join them together to create a round rug or mat. Students should bring up to ten old T-shirts, one skein of 100% acrylic yarn and a large plastic needle (2-3”).

This card making class is perfect for beginners as well as avid card makers. Every student will receive a full set of cake-themed stamps that they will use during class. No waiting for stamps to be passed around. Then you take your stamp set home to make more cards using the techniques we practice together. Yes, that’s right: each student will keep a set of 21 photopolymer stamps that includes images and messages. It’s going to be deliciously fun and you will love every crumb of crafty-info. Students should bring: at least one 3x3 stamp block (you may want to bring multiple blocks), paper snips (small sharp scissors) and your choice of adhesive (tape runner, glue stick, or liquid glue). Course fee will provide all the other supplies, including paper, special tools and embellishments. Easy Applique Pillow

During this course, students will design and create a pillow using applique. The base material is cotton. We will use simple forms to attach pictures (will be transferred to attachable material by the instructor), ornaments from fabric or whatever is possible. Students will provide the materials to make their pillow. The applique will be attached using needle and yarn. Students will sew by hand, and the instructor will have a sewing machine available. Supply list will be available at registration and outside the office before class.

Students in this course will choose premade components to turn into beautiful, colorful jewelry. Whether, brass, copper or silver-colored components, color them with the rich soft colors of Alcohol ink. Make earrings, necklaces, bracelets and more. Combine them with beads to make several stunning, original, wearable jewelry pieces. Course fee will provide premade components: 3 pairs of earrings and 5 pendants or brooches. Students will be responsible for providing all other supplies. Supply list will be available at registration and outside the office before class.

Growing Herbs in Containers
